New Discount Ticket Program Available

The Cambridge/Guernsey County Visitors & Convention Bureau announces an exciting new discount program for the residents of Guernsey County. The Guernsey County Discount Ticket program offers residents the opportunity to attend five attractions this summer and receive a savings of up to $10 per person.

The participants are as follows:
Byesville Scenic Railway - $1 discount on train rides
All-aboard for a trip back in history as passengers are transported in time to the days when coal mining was king in Guernsey County. Listen to the stories of the local miners, sing along to "I Owe My Soul to the Company Store," and be sure to sit back and relax on this 1 1/2 hour trip. Admission is $10 Adults and $7 Children. Drafty Acres Stable - $1 discount on their guided horse trail rides
Located in beautiful Southeastern Ohio's Salt Fork State Park region, just 3 miles from the main entrance of the park, Drafty Acres offers guided horseback rides to the public on 157 acres of private owned property. Enjoy absolutely breath taking views of the county on well-seasoned safe horses. Children always welcome regardless of age. One hour guided trail ride $16.00 per horse. Living Word Outdoor Drama - $5 discount for adults and $2.50 for children
Witness the Life and Ministry of Christ on a spectacular 400 panoramic set and America's most authentic recreation of Old Jerusalem! National Museum of Cambridge Glass - $1 discount
In addition to the 6,000 piece glass display area, mannequins are used to demonstrate how glass was gathered from the furnace, formed into its final shape, and then etched, gold decorated or engraved. the Wilds - $2 discount on Safari Transport tours The Wilds is one of the largest and most innovative wildlife conservation centers in the world. Located on nearly 10,000 acres near Cumberland, Ohio, it is home to rare and endangered wildlife from Africa, Asia and North America in open-range habitat. Here is how it works, take a tour of the Wilds, save your ticket and take it to the National Museum of Cambridge Glass to receive your discount. Take your museum ticket to Drafty Acres, receive your discount, take their ticket to the Living Word Drama, receive your discount, etc. Attractions may be visited in any order and all participants will offer discounts with any tickets purchases in 2007.
Each individual must show an admission ticket from the previous location to receive a discount.

VCB Executive Director Debbie Robinson encourages residents to, “Take the opportunity to check out what is in your own back yard this summer, and remember to take your visiting friends and relatives with you.”
