Try a New Experience at Living Word Outdoor Drama
The Living Word Outdoor Drama began its 33rd season on Friday, June 15 under a beautiful Southeastern Ohio sky. Adding to the excitement of the new season was several new scenes, lovely musical selections and the majestic horses making several appearances.
So you say you've been to Living Word before. It is worth going back this year to see the changes. Have you ever served as an extra in the 2 1/2 hour passion play? No? Then you have to try it. You will experience the drama in an entirely different light.
What do you need to do to be an extra? Simple. Come back stage at 7pm (6pm in September). The nice folks in the Living Word office will direct you. Once behind the stage, you will be directed to a dressing room, and the kind people there will help you choose your costume. During the play, more kind people will give you instructions on when to go out before the audience and what to do when you get there.
Don't want to go by yourself. Take your 4-H group, church group, service club or just a group of friends. Shown here are members of First Christian Church in Cambridge who traditionally serve as extras the first and last evenings of the season.
