Managing Editor of Long Weekends in Area for Long Weekend

Editor of Ohio Magazine's Long Weekends, Marie Catanese, spent an end-of-the-summer weekend in Cambridge recently. Among the many attractions she visited were the National Museum of Cambridge Glass, the Byesville Scenic Railway, the Living Word Outdoor Drama and the Dickens Welcome Center and Ye Ole Curiosity Shop. Marie is seen here on the Byesville Scenic Railway with coal miner Steve who presented her with an Appalachian bouquet of flowers.

She also had her photo taken with Mr. Charles Dickens in the Imagination Station in the Dickens Welcome Center along with artist Martha Jamail and Dickens co-chair Jonett Haberfield.

Marie enjoyed an overnight in the Colonel Taylor Inn and B&B and is seen here with proprietors Jim and Patricia Irvin.

During a recent quarterly Team Tourism meeting, Guernsey County tourism partners learned from an interesting and interactive Frank Satullo all about the power of the Word of Mouse. In a world in which technological advances boggle the mind, we are just now beginning to get a grip on Web 2.0 when Web 3.0 is already impacting the way we do business. Internet marketing is ever changing, rapidly. Frank helped us understand where we’ve been, where we are and where we’re going and how to get our message to our target audience effectively and inexpensively.

Cambridge/Guernsey County VCB Staff Tours Nomad Ridge
