Tourism Partners Participate in Heartland Travel Showcase

This past weekend, seven Guernsey County Tourism partners, representing four tourist attractions, traveled to Columbus, Ohio for the 25th Annual Heartland Travel Showcase, the largest regional motor coach market place in the United States. One hundred and thirty six tour operators from around the country met with over 460 exhibitors during the three-day show. Between them, the four Guernsey County attractions had appointments with over 100 tour operators! In costume and getting ready for a full day are (l) Steve Stolarik, representing the Byesville Scenic Railway; Sharon Miller and Cindy Arent, representing the National Museum of Cambridge Glass; Debbie Robinson, executive director of the Cambridge/Guernsey County Visitors & Convention Bureau; (seated) Kitrina Mazaher, representing the Living Word Outdoor Drama; Jonett Haberfield, representing Dickens Victorian Village and Shauna Hearing, communications and information manager for the VCB. Each tour operator received information on group tour opportunities in Guernsey County and sample itineraries.
